Hossein Varamini, Ph.D.
Hossein Varamini is the Turnbull-Jamieson Chair; Professor of Finance and International Business; and Director of the International Business Program at Elizabethtown College. He joined the College in the Fall of 2000 as the Director of the International Business Program after holding a similar position at a different institution for over ten years.
Dr. Varamini is the co-author of a textbook: “Global Business: An Economic, Social and Environmental Perspective” which is in its 3rd edition. In addition to his individual research publications in the fields of foreign direct investment, foreign exchange markets and impact financing, Dr. Varamini has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles with other colleagues and with his students. Some of his articles have been published in the American Journal of Business, Journal of Finance Issues, and others.
Dr. Varamini’s educational experience includes a Ph.D. from Kansas State University, an MBA from Phillips University, and a BS in Business Administration, Tehran Business College. He has also been the recipient of several awards in teaching, research and service, as well as a member of the Academy of International Business, Cyrus Institute of Knowledge and Global Business Advisors.
